Fire Station 3 renovations go to public bid; ARP funds will pay project

Tammy Gibson told the council that the Fire Station 3 renovation project is publicly advertised and out for sealed bids, with a pre-bid meeting set for Sept. 23 at 10 a.m. and sealed bids due Oct. 7. Plans and specifications are available for review at the town office and the project will be funded with ARP (American Rescue Plan) funds.
Gibson said contractors may review plans on-site and that contact information for interior review is provided in the notice to bidders. She noted that at least three or four inquiries had already been received and encouraged interested contractors to attend the pre-bid meeting. "Again, it would be a project that will be paid for with ARP funds," she said.
