The council considered a final plat for 66.56 acres located on East Main Street east of 9th and approved the plat with conditions addressing unresolved drainage reclamation and easement needs. Staff said engineers are working through floodplain reclamation and that the developer will bring in soil stockpiles and secure temporary construction access off Highway 121 to avoid using residential streets.
Staff also said that next month they will present an easement for force mains across the 121 corridor tied to an off‑site sewer extension and that some retaining‑wall easements must be formalized as part of HOA maintenance access. “Next month, I'll be bringing an easement for to you, for force mains on the across the 121 from the bridges where the, treatment plant is,” staff said when describing the required documentation. Council approved the final plat conditioned on completing remaining engineering comments and easement language before recordation.
