HR report: SCOE reports 13 vacancies, majority paraeducator positions; three hires announced

Human-resources staff reported that SCOE filled three positions — secretary program analyst, program manager for career and college readiness, and a behavior analyst — and that 13 positions remain vacant systemwide, eight of which are paraeducator roles.
Mr. Garcia, reporting the staffing figures, said the vacancy count represents progress from more than 20 vacancies a year ago. Trustees asked about vacancy trends and where new hires were recruited; Garcia said hires came through EdJoin, internal promotions, and contractor conversions and emphasized that employees "choose to come to work at SCOE."
