Charter update: Elite shows student gains but staff say fiscal reconciliation and a lawsuit remain unresolved

Jess Baines Wright reported that Elite’s football team won a league championship and the school showed improvement in attendance and suspension data on the California Dashboard; the school has dual enrollment with Solano Community College and reported November enrollment totals of 301 elementary, 167 middle and 151 high-school students (619 total). Board members asked staff to explain several dashboard metrics listed as "needs attention," and staff said they are waiting on a June 30 bank-reconciliation that does not yet match the school's reported cash balance. A county staffer said the reconciliation had been requested again and that an updated cash flow in the 1st interim report might resolve the question.
Trustees also asked about litigation tied to Elite’s proposed downtown site; staff and counsel said they had no update at the meeting but would research the procedural posture and report back at the January meeting. Trustee questions focused on timelines and potential operational impacts if the litigation were resolved in Elite’s favor.
