During the April 30 meeting the Board approved multiple contract awards and funding allocations presented in correspondence from Dean Button and other department staff.
Chair read a recommendation to award the Dan Raven Plaza reroof to Corrales Roofing for $65,208; the Board approved the award. Staff also presented the 2026 road maintenance program agreement with Site Services (annual crack sealing/streets work) and the Board authorized execution of contracts ahead of expected funding. The Board approved the 165th Street improvement contract (Kennedy to Grand) with Reath Riley Construction as part of a Community Crossing grant requiring a 50/50 match with NDOT; staff noted contracts must be sent to NDOT to secure the 50% match. Engineering requested $277,000 for 6th District resurfacing (resurface 169th), and the Board approved the allocation. Finally, the Board approved allocations from district gaming funds: $11,000 for Hermits Park improvements (1st district), $310,000 for the Harrison Park Pond project (3rd district), and $30,000 for Columbia Park bathroom upgrades (2nd district).
Staff noted some contracts required additional signatures before submission to funding partners (NDOT) and that funding availability was expected next week for certain items.
