County partners with FEVA on 'Her Last Litter' spay/neuter voucher program

Torrance County Animal Services Director Danette Langdon presented a memorandum of understanding with Friends of Estancia Valley Animals (FEVA) to expand spay/neuter access for residents with litters of puppies or kittens. Under the agreement, Animal Services will issue vouchers for free spay/neuter services and FEVA will reimburse the county $100 per litter to offset vaccination and deworming costs.
Langdon said the MOU will supplement existing programs such as SNIPPET, increase the number of animals that are fixed, and reduce the number of litters entering Animal Services. The commission voted to approve the MOU during the meeting.
