The council approved a $47,139 additional appropriation to correct a payroll issue in the Sheriff's budget and adopted Salary Ordinance No. 888 to correct the classification and salary of the Information Technology Network Administrator.
Council President Richard Shipe explained that a technical data-entry issue caused payroll amounts to revert and the appropriation was needed to correct the Sheriff's payroll accounts; Linda Hansen moved to approve and the motion carried 7–0. Auditor Kim Koomler explained the IT Network Administrator had been misclassified as a Special Occupation and should be classified as Professional, Administrative Technological; council approved a retroactive salary correction to $38,388 (bi-weekly $1,476.46) effective Jan. 1, 2016 and adopted Ordinance No. 888 by unanimous vote.
