Chair (speaker 3) called for the vote and the motion carried. Following the vote, the board recessed briefly for photos and to let Mr. Pollard meet attendees.
Interim county administrator Mr. Mundy (speaker 7) addressed the board before the motion and praised the recruitment process, saying the county's search "was one of the smoothest that I've worked through." Pollard (speaker 8) accepted the board's confidence in brief remarks: "I'm not big on speeches, so thank you all for having me, and thank you all for your confidence. And I know I'm gonna deliver for you guys, and we're gonna, exceed as a community and move the community forward into the future." The board thanked Mr. Mundy for his interim service and welcomed Pollard to the county.
