Commission approves minutes, contracts, appointments and resolutions in business session

During its regular meeting the Box Elder County Commission conducted routine business and approved a series of motions and items after public comment and staff presentations. The commission approved the minutes from Oct. 8, authorized signatures on first‑responder mental‑health contracts, and adopted seasonal road closure ordinance No. 632 following public testimony.
The panel also approved the county’s endorsement to submit a Rural Community Opportunity Grant application for downtown facade/revitalization projects, appointed the commissioner who already serves on the Utah Counties Indemnity Pool (USIP) board as the county’s representative with Byron Southwick as alternate for the 2026 USIP meeting, and approved contract number 25‑77 for processing and disposal of wastewater at the county landfill. Commissioners also adopted resolution 25‑22 to designate Box Elder County as an America250 Utah partner. Each motion passed after the chair called for the vote and commissioners voiced affirmative responses.
