"One of the most significant discussion in that committee focused on the Office of Management and Budget proposed rewrite of their uniform grants guidance," the commissioner said, adding that a major concern was how counties might be reclassified from government entities to contractors under the new rules. The commissioner said they brought back briefing materials, including items about data centers, and made those materials available to other board members.
The briefing was presented as informational; the commissioner suggested board members review the materials and invited colleagues to stop by the office to review the packets. No board action was taken based on the briefing.
