Staff to circulate rolling memo on federal grant attestations

"You will receive a memo in your inbox just an update on federal grants and contracts and talking points that your board can use," the staff member said, adding that "this situation continues to rapidly change" and staff will apply version control so commissioners can track updates. The staff member said one-on-one follow-ups will be available to answer questions.
The memo was described as focused on the county's ability to legally sign attestations attached to some federal grants and contracts. Staff did not provide a firm timeline beyond saying the memo would arrive "by the end of the day" and that it would be updated as conditions change. Commissioners were advised to raise questions in follow-up meetings rather than during the work-session update.
