IT committee proposes in-house IT hire and county cybersecurity playbook

The Board's IT & Compliance committee reported it had created a proposal to add an in-house IT position and will forward the proposal to Finance for approval; committee member Ryan said Heart Technologies has agreed to work with the new hire to onboard them. "They have created an in-house IT position and will bring that to Finance for approval," the minutes record.
The committee also discussed the need for a county cyber security playbook and said Emergency Management will consult with other counties to identify existing models. The AD HOC IT & Compliance Committee's term ends at the end of November; committee members discussed whether the technology component should become a permanent committee while keeping the compliance side as an AD HOC for another year.
