Board approves WHKS engineering support, adds Chastain Engineering and OKs road agreement for Revere Road Solar

The DeWitt County Board approved three items related to solar projects and engineering support. Prestegaard moved and Deerwester seconded approval of a WHKS & Co. Professional Services Agreement and Task Order 1 to provide engineering help to the County Engineer for up to five months at no more than $85,000 and a maximum of 20 hours per week; the motion carried.
Earlier the Board voted to add Chastain Engineering to the county's approved firms list for wind and solar services (motion by Carter, second by Ryan). The Board also approved a Road Use Agreement with Revere Road Solar, LLC (motion by Prestegaard, second by Deerwester). County Engineer Mathon said the Revere Road work "will be done in 2 pieces and they will submit paperwork for the second piece later under the name Madison Street Solar, LLC. He said it will be two different projects."
