Fair & Rodeo Board authorizes metal sign for Highway 93 and hears maintenance needs

At the White Pine County Fair and Rodeo Board meeting, Host Kent Lynskey said maintenance requires a blade and a purchase order for pavers to complete a drainage ditch and requested about 20 tons of reject sand or dirt for the stalls. "He also needs more dirt (reject sand) for the stalls, approximately 20 tons," the minutes record.
The board discussed signage for safety and wayfinding on Highway 93. Member Martin Troutt said he would coordinate with NDOT to obtain a metal sign; Member Caleb Sumrall moved to authorize Troutt to proceed with placement and Member Bill Panagopoulos seconded. The motion carried. The purchase of a post pounder remains unresolved and the board asked staff to follow up on outstanding equipment purchases.
