Dennis Miller, representing the regional library board, previously reported that the library's carpet needed replacement and asked staff to obtain ballpark contractor quotes. The commission also previously raised the library rental rate from $650 to $1,600 per month effective 2026 after reviewing upkeep costs and comparative rental rates among regional facilities.
City staff were directed to obtain additional quotes on associated structural concerns and parking-lot repairs before proceeding with ancillary projects; the carpet contract award itself was approved by roll call.
