Residents mobilize after four aquifer-related bills added to special session

"Since then, last night, some very exciting news came through, and we have just been added to this issue... 4 bills that, Cody Harrison submitted on this issue to change the law of being able to draw from our aquifers, has now been included in the special session," the resident said and urged a press conference and a day to go to the capitol. She also said she had posted links to each bill on Facebook and asked web staff (Ruby) whether the POA website could host links to the bills for members.
Residents discussed organizing a red-letter writing campaign and a town hall to gather questions for any future presentations. The board and staff did not record a formal motion in the transcript to sponsor travel or a press event; organizers asked the community to identify representatives who could travel to Austin.
