Steuben County Council raises E‑911 director pay to $50,197.06

President Richard Shipe presented Ordinance No. 857 by title and the council suspended the rules to allow second and third readings at the same meeting. The County Auditor read the ordinance title aloud; the measure passed on roll call votes recorded as six ayes and zero nays, with F. Mayo Sanders absent.
The ordinance states the increase will be funded from the Statewide 911 line item (1222-000-1000.02). Council members who moved and seconded procedural motions during the meeting included Linda Hansen and Sara Tubergen; Ruth Beer moved final passage and Wil Howard seconded. The ordinance was signed by all members present and attested by Auditor Kim Koomler.
