Rosemary Plyben said the Greensboro Fire Department has officially reopened Fire Station Number 8, originally constructed in 1970 and serving the Glenwood community for more than five decades. She said the station "has been transformed through a renovation led by Samick Corporation, creating a modern, functional facility" to meet evolving needs.
Plyben described a ceremonial unscrewing of a fire hose coupling by firefighters and community members to mark the station’s reopening and said the renovation reflects the city’s commitment to updated public-safety infrastructure.
