Elm Street pilot closure begins this weekend, city announces parking adjustments

Rosemary Plyben, host of the City of Greensboro’s FYI Weekly, announced that "parts of Elm Street" will be closed this weekend as part of an August–October pilot project and said the closure zone on the south end was moved "up to the north edge of Bain Street" to address parking needs.
Plyben said residents in the 200 block of Elm will be allowed some free parking in the Green Street deck during the 90-day closure and that "parking in the Green Street ... deck will be free on weekends during the first month of the program." The city has scheduled a drop-in information session on Monday, Aug. 10, 4:30–6 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce, 111 West (address as read on the program).
