During the citizen‑input portion of the work session, resident Beth Crockett asked for a status update on how much of the city’s approved bonds has been spent on design work for the municipal complex and city hall.
"How much money have we expended so far on the GO bonds that were approved ... for design?" Crockett asked. Staff later answered during the municipal complex presentation that the city has spent about $1,300,000 on design, surveys and related work to date but that a detailed breakdown between general obligation and certificate‑of‑obligation funds was not readily available in the session and would be provided separately.
Councilmembers acknowledged the public question and asked staff to follow up with a written explanation of how the design expenditures were charged to bond proceeds or other funding sources.
