Commission approves $7,735.96 repair for Parks & Rec Bobcat

Parks & Rec Superintendent Chad Schroeder said the machine has issues on the road and is "not trailing right and it's skipping," and that the shop recommended replacing carrier assemblies, O-rings and sealant to return the unit to operating condition. "So the amount is for $7,735.96, and this should put that machine back into operating conditions again," Schroeder said. The commission moved and approved using general fund reserves to cover the cost.
Schroeder did not request replacement at this time but framed the work as needed to keep the machine available for park maintenance and planned tasks ahead of fall operations. The commission recorded a roll-call vote in favor of the repair.
Public comment or alternate repair options were not discussed during the presentation.
