Human Development Commission: central kitchen replaces sold facility; seniors' meals continue

She described new satellite activities — trips to the movies and local outings — as efforts to keep seniors socially engaged while the agency transitions its operations.
"We no longer have that kitchen," Sutherland said, noting the change forced rapid operational adjustments but that in the long run centralizing kitchen operations could produce cost savings for Sanilac County and partner counties. She invited board feedback and said HDC remains committed to providing high-quality services to county seniors.
