Sanilac County commissioners approved a series of consent items on Nov. 5, 2024, including payment of current claims, several personnel postings, and multiple service contracts.
The clerk read the FA161 accounts-payable item: "for the general bank account in the amount of $254,682.58," and the board approved it by voice vote. The board also approved budget amendments (FA162), authorized posting and filling a friend-of-the-court attorney referee position (FA163, grade 14), and a legal secretary posting (FA164, prosecutor's office, pay grade 4 step 1).
Contract actions included approval of a three-year bronze maintenance agreement with Accurate Controls Inc. to maintain jail security systems at a cost not to exceed $47,298.47 and authorization for a Lexipol subscription for sheriff's office policy and training not to exceed $23,204.15. The board also authorized payment of $23,953.01 to ERG Environmental for expenses tied to a household hazardous waste collection event, funded from the recycling center.
Most consent items were presented as previously vetted at the finance meeting; the chair emphasized these had been discussed in detail earlier and were returning for formal approval.
