Asotin County commissioners approve multiple contracts, grant amendment increasing funding to $935,072

The Asotin County Board of Commissioners on June 22 approved a series of contracts and amendments affecting emergency management, public defense coordination and community services.
Nick Bacon, Emergency Management Director, presented the SECO Coordinator Professional Development (CPD) Contract SFY2027 and described it as "A reimbursement contract per WAC 118-66-050." Vice-Chair Brian Shinn moved to approve; Chairman Chris Seubert seconded and "motion carried." The board also approved interagency contract #FY270089 with the Washington Office of Public Defense after Chris Kemp, COO, requested authorization to sign via DocuSign.
Cynthia Tierney, Community Services Director, presented DDA Amendment No. 01 to DSHS Agreement #2563-64313 increasing the funding amount "from $630,811 to $935,072." The Board approved that amendment on motion. Tierney also presented DSHS School-to-Work Contract #2663-69729 Amendment No. 1, which updates the School-to-Work Student Guide and extends the contract through September 30, 2027; that amendment was approved as well.
Tara Sanchez, Clerk of the Board, presented a renewal contract with The Wesley Group for professional services for 9-1-26 through 8-31-27 with no other changes; the Board approved the renewal. Each approval was made by motion (moved by Shinn, seconded by Seubert) and recorded in the proceedings.
