The Henry County Public Safety Committee voted unanimously March 18 to approve an intergovernmental agreement with the Emergency Telephone Systems Board (ETSB). Chair Natalie Hendryx moved the agreement and Member Mike Rabas seconded; the measure passed on a roll call vote with all members recorded as in favor.
During discussion members reviewed a proposed salary for a new Office of Emergency Management (OEM) position and the possibility of ETSB partnering to fund certain position functions. Director Mat Schnepple reviewed the position’s duties and explained why some functions could be funded through the ETSB partnership. The minutes do not list the salary amount or a final funding split; the committee approved the agreement and discussed next steps for staffing and funding coordination with ETSB.
