Denton sets July 5 fireworks, launches park committee discussions

The Board approved setting the annual fireworks show for July 5, 2025 and discussed raising the budget for the event from the current $4,500 toward a proposed $5,500 figure. The motion to set the date was moved by Trustee Wheatley and seconded by Trustee Fangmeier; the motion carried.
Trustees also discussed creating a committee to pursue playground and park improvements. Trustee Amanda Fangmeier volunteered to serve as the board’s representative and requested that adding a scoreboard be placed on the next meeting agenda. No formal budget appropriation beyond the date-setting motion was recorded in the minutes.
