"This morning, I'm asking, county council to look into, the lack of garbage collection in the service areas of Republic Services in San Mateo County... I would like the county council to provide to the board and myself, background and recourse relative to, the refunding of taxpayer dollars relative to uncollected garbage fees," the president said. He told staff it had been about "a week and 0.5" with uncollected garbage in parts of the county and asked for a responsive briefing. County counsel said they would work with appropriate county staff on the request.
