The Kingsford City Council on June 15 approved multiple payments and a small engineering agreement tied to the city's water, sewer and road projects. Council approved Pay Request #11 for Project #2, which includes Breen Avenue work and well work, in the amount of $237,564.95 (motion by Olson; seconded by Dixon‑Miller). The council also approved EGLE Disbursement #3 for Project #3 in the amount of $181,606.46 (motion by Freeman; seconded by Dixon‑Miller).
Council additionally approved a Professional Construction Service agreement for the Cass Avenue sanitary sewer replacement that would rely primarily on city DPW personnel for inspections and limit outside engineer oversight; the proposed fee for that scope was $3,500. All three measures passed without dissent during the meeting.
