During the public‑comment period at the Arcadia Unified board meeting, Janet Bergner, a substitute teacher with more than 20 years of experience in the district, spoke in defense of Bain Mesa. Bergner said she has worked alongside Bain Mesa in classrooms and volunteers and praised the teacher’s classroom management, ethics, and commitment to enrichment and student welfare.
"She is among the finest that Arcadia has to offer," Bergner told the board, describing Bain Mesa as conscientious, kind and committed to excellence. Bergner urged the board to consider long‑term, firsthand professional experience with the teacher when assessing any personnel matters and reminded the public that the district has procedures for addressing personnel complaints.
