Arcadia Unified rolls out Tyler Drive for routing; parent notification app due by Thanksgiving

Arcadia Unified’s business services office briefed the board on a new transportation management platform called Tyler Drive that the district has implemented to route daily home‑to‑school routes, support driver tablets, and track student riders via ID cards. The system flags when a student gets off at the wrong stop and will help staff locate and return riders when needed. Officials said the platform also supports scheduling for field trips and sporting events.
"The app is called Bridal k 12. It notifies parents about the arrival times of the bus or any delays that may be occurring," Mr. Esselin said, adding the parent notification app is planned for release by Thanksgiving. Board members noted the app rollout should reduce calls to transportation staff and improve family confidence in bus operations.
