The Pool and Public Building Committee approved several payment requisitions during the July 27 meeting. Chair Richard Green moved and the committee approved an April 2026 invoice from Util Incorporated for $15,295 (work tax budget) and an architect/consultant requisition for the Center at The Heights in the amount of $11,264 (architect's budget). The committee also approved a $795 payment to Kartoon Edu for a public‑facing Pillar 5 video posted on the project website.
A larger requisition for the Newman Theatre systems upgrade — Requisition #7 from Anise Electrical Services for $272,717.66 — was discussed at length; staff reported demolition complete and delivery/installation schedules aiming for substantial completion by mid‑September and full completion by the end of September. The committee approved the Anise Electrical requisition by roll call. The committee also approved an NV5 invoice for RTU replacement for $2,179.25. Several committee members asked clarifying questions about retainage, remaining punch‑list items, and whether video production charges were coming from the construction budget (they were not). All motions carried on roll call.
