"With our expanding fire and EMS service delivery, we've got a few fire stations that we need to put additions onto," the Presenter said.
A supervisor (S1) summarized emergency management data, saying the courthouse area saw about 600 EMS calls in a recent period and that some stations now have ambulances too long to fit back‑to‑back in existing bays. Members said covered bays reduce wear from units idling outside and improve equipment reliability; staff said two additional bays and preparations for possible career staffing could be part of the scope for the highest‑call stations. The plan will be sequenced across years in the CIP and some apparatus storage work is already funded.
