"So this plan's gonna outline that, and it it's gonna be a 2, 3 year plan," the Presenter said.
Presenter described the renovation as primarily building the floor up ("less than 3 feet") rather than moving major structural beams, and noted parking adjacent to the door would satisfy ADA needs for routine elections. Staff raised technical constraints: sprinkler head clearances and ceiling height were discussed (a staff member noted the available clearance as "8 foot"), and members asked whether lowering the outside door was possible without relocating sewer or water mains. Presenter cautioned that presidential‑level elections could still require the larger Parks & Rec facility.
