Director Matt Hiscock said the Dawna Drive water-line replacement is a budgeted and long-awaited project, noting the line has been problematic for many years with multiple breaks and investigations yielding limited answers. The current authorized budget for the project is roughly $500,000 and staff requested authority to advertise, receive bids and award a contract.
Council Member Tom Stugmyer confirmed two readings were acceptable and the ordinance was assigned a number for return consideration. No final award occurred in the Committee session; staff will follow standard procurement and return with bid results.
