Floresville ISD honors teachers and students; introduces K-9 Timah and new campus officer

The board recognized early-childhood teacher Diana Conley (presented by Diana Wagner) and Floresville South Elementary teacher Stephanie Gilchrist (presented by Dr. Monica Sluder), along with students Destiny Torres and Nicholas Sotelo as students of the month. Speakers praised classroom engagement, certifications and extracurricular accomplishments.
Superintendent Dr. Gilstrap introduced a new K-9 officer, Timah, who has already been active on campus, and welcomed Officer Flores as a new campus officer. Dr. Gilstrap thanked donors and Representative Guillen for helping secure training funding for the K-9, and said the district's K-9 unit will reduce recurring contract costs for canine searches.
