Cemetery Hill project awarded; pre-construction and traffic control to be planned

Mayor reported that the Cemetery Hill contract for the FY 2025–26 projects has been awarded and that bond paperwork is pending; a pre-construction meeting is expected this week. "Dale's getting some of the bond paperwork from him. He'd like to have a precon on that here with the contractor," the mayor said.
Council staff described that traffic control for the hill project will be discussed during the preconstruction meeting and cautioned that work could affect Old Highway 20. The mayor said the city plans to post maps and public notices in advance of construction so residents know detour options and timing.
