Council and the Cahoon Memorial Park Trustees approved a resolution authorizing the city to use submerged lands of Lake Erie for shoreline improvements at Cahoon Memorial Park. Staff described coordination with SmithGroup and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources to ensure legal descriptions and application language are in order, and trustees carried the motion by voice/roll call.
Staff announced that Jason Staley from SmithGroup will present an overview of the project and proposed offshore structures on April 20. Council said exhibits in the packet included latitudes and longitudes and that technical details would be clearer at the forthcoming presentation.
