The applicant (S16) told council she had 10 years of experience working with animals and said the proposed facility would emphasize individual "bedroom" style care, lower daytime counts and soundproofing to reduce noise impacts. "We're gonna actually individualize these bedrooms. We're gonna take smaller numbers of dogs for daycare, so there's less of a risk with that and noise," the applicant said.
Council members asked about paving, parking and code compliance; staff and the applicant confirmed the driveway and parking would meet code. The council moved, seconded and passed the rezoning with no opposition during public testimony.
