Near the end of the May 21 meeting the board voted to go into executive session to consult with the town attorney about pending litigation. A committee member said the discussion met the standard that "premature public knowledge would clearly place the public body or person involved at a substantial disadvantage."
The board invited the planning commission to join the closed session, paused recording, and said it would reconvene briefly before adjourning the select board portion of the meeting at 7:32 p.m. No action was taken in open session before the board went into executive session.
