Council schedules consultant presentation Aug. 5 to begin administrator recruitment

"We would like to have our initial presentation, by the consultant on Wednesday, August 5, which would have been your normal meeting date," the staff member said. She said the consultant hopes to present ranked and scored core skill sets for the new administrator and a draft job description for council review.
The staff member warned the council the recruitment will require additional special meetings because the typical month-long gap between regular meetings is too slow for hiring timelines. "This recruitment effort will require some special meetings moving forward, because a month delay in between each of our regular meetings is too long for us to accomplish that timely," she said.
Council members discussed availability for the Aug. 5 date and asked staff to circulate an agenda and, if needed, an alternative-date poll to ensure full participation. The staff member said a draft position profile and job description should be ready for the initial meeting and that refinements could be made at that session.
