Commission review: January budget shows higher overtime and retirement costs

"Obviously, you can see overtime in the January budget and the salaries overtime. And, for some reason, the employer retirement contributions are over," Speaker 7 said. The commissioner added that several purchase orders will be issued for equipment this month and that matching funds activity is underway to cover some purchases.
No formal budget approvals or amendments occurred during the meeting; members asked for continued monitoring and asked staff to provide follow-up details on purchase orders and matching-fund timelines.
