During administrative reports June 4, Commissioner Leigh Anne Young said Black Bear Lock & Security will order door-lock hardware for Town Hall. Commissioners discussed the feasibility of a small agriculture market at the town park and a future community event tied to Webster's 175th anniversary next year.
Commissioner Danell Moses reported on a Solid Waste Board meeting (which lacked a quorum) and said Jackson County residents collected 15,360 pounds of trash with more than 100 participants in a recent cleanup; she proposed coordinating a Webster community trash pickup alongside a Webster Cemetery clean-up day. Commissioner Brandon Core said the Webster Historical Society is considering hosting a s'mores night and possibly an outdoor movie and would check with JCPRD about projector equipment availability.
These items were informational; no formal votes were taken on the community events or equipment orders during the June 4 meeting.
