Soil and Water District wins $3,025 demonstration grant; Redpath extension approved

Sara Gronfeld, District Administrative Manager for the Soil and Water Conservation District, reported that the Soil Health Demonstration Project received a $3,025 Regional Sustainable Development Partnership Grant. Gronfeld said federal funding contracts are accepting applications and that Soil Health Grants are available, though current funding is limited for cover crops and no-till practices.
The board unanimously approved the Redpath Project Replacement Plan Extension (motion by Dwight Nelson; second by Chad Metz). Gronfeld also reported there were no new SSTS permit applications and that the SSTS Low-Income Upgrade Grant received one application for the remaining funding.
