"The funding request would go to May 2027 town meeting...my best guess is 12 to 18 months after that," staff said. Staff added that projects emerging from a facilities master plan would then be prioritized through the town capital budgeting process, and that actual movement on an individual site would likely be years away.
Committee members sought clarity on sequencing and whether the School Committee would include its full portfolio in the master plan; staff said that is a separate decision for the School Committee to make, and that a facilities master plan is the start of a multi-step process rather than an immediate commitment to any specific redevelopment.
