Town staff says $101,000 contract for consultants is largely complete; about $42,000 expected to be returned

Town staff told the committee the consultant work contracted for the Stephen Palmer project totaled $101,000 and that the town has spent $58,000 of that amount to date.
"They were contracted for $101,000. We've expended 58,000 of that, and are not anticipating, any additional, expenditure of those funds," said Katie. Staff estimated an unspent balance of roughly $42,000 that could be turned back into town funds. Committee members asked whether any remaining contracted scope would be completed; staff said no additional consultant spending is anticipated as the committee dissolves and future actions would be pursued through other town processes and budgets.
