During council comments on June 2, Council Member Tiffany Aull urged residents to practice civility and respectful dialogue in community interactions. Council Member Byron Thomas highlighted an upcoming community event on Saturday, June 27 in Riverland Park featuring the Police and Fire Departments, promoted the Cayce‑West Columbia Block Party and encouraged eligible residents to use early voting or vote on Election Day. Council Member Alice Rose similarly called for curiosity and respectful discussion when residents disagree. Mayor Pro Tem Phil Carter congratulated recent graduates of Brookland‑Cayce High School and Airport High School and reminded attendees about the Second Reading of the FY2027 budget scheduled for the next Thursday at 2:00 p.m.
