Council adopts 30-month Stryker maintenance contract covering ambulance cots and CPR device

Interim Fire Chief Randy Kimbro asked council to approve a 30-month service and maintenance contract with Stryker covering ambulance patient cots, loading devices, stair chairs and one Lucas CPR compression device. Kimbro said the contract total listed is $6,117.50 and clarified the city will be billed in two annual payments; "the city will $3058.75 annually," he said.
Council moved to suspend the rules, waive the reading, and adopt Resolution 32-2026 during the same meeting. The adoption was approved by voice vote with seven ayes and no nays. Kimbro told council the new fire engine is in service but some minor outfitting remains; he recommended adoption to ensure continued maintenance coverage for EMS equipment.
