Planning & Zoning reported that its bylaws date from 2005 and contain discrepancies with the city code that should be corrected. A draft amendment will be included in the commission packet and, if approved there, the changes will come to council in March for formal action.
The planning session included a presentation by planner Steve Grippman on land use, variances and zoning procedures; members said the presentation was thorough and useful for new or returning commission members. No council vote was taken on bylaw language at this meeting; staff will include draft language for the March packet.
