Commissioner Leigh Anne Young reported to the Board that the town’s recent community event went well and that Duke Energy contributed $500 toward event expenses. She said the Webster Historical Society offered to contribute as well and that total expenses, excluding tent canopies, were $582.77.
Mayor Tracy Rodes thanked volunteers and commissioners for setup and cleanup assistance and Commissioner Core noted the Historical Society will sponsor an art contest for school-aged children with details to be posted on social media and the town bulletin board.
