A resident warned the board that construction equipment could damage newly improved surfaces and suggested temporary graveling during heavy construction. French said VDOT could hold project funding in the plan for several years if necessary, or accelerate Clark Road by drawing on an unallocated tele‑fee balance of around $255,000 in the county account.
French estimated a rough paving cost metric of about $150,000 per mile for budgeting purposes and suggested starting Harper Road funding in the latter years of the plan if the board kept current priorities. The board agreed to wait until after the public hearing before making a final decision on priorities.
